Bristol Vegans contains many diverse and fascinating individuals, groups and miscreants, all with a story to tell.

A new monthly e bulletin is being compiled and you can add your name to the list of recipients by emailing Protected email address .

You can also email any news of campaigns, demos, events, happenings or good ideas etc to the same email address for incorporation in our next bulletin.

Welcome To our first bulletin for a long time. Bristol Vegans has been taking it easy up the pub for about 18 months now, but a few of us feel its time for a change of venue, hence the monthly bulletin to keep member informed about our next meetings and any activities that members of the group might be involved with.

Contact Jenny and Ian have kindly volunteered to keep the members email list up to date and to send out the bulletin on a regular basis. All members are encouraged to get in touch with Jenny and Ian and send them not only your email address and any other members you know too, but also any news of events, campaigns etc that might be of interest. Next Meet - World Vegan Day November 1 st 2010 Plantation Bristol Usually we meet on the last Thursday of every month, but there is a slight change this month as it is in fact World Vegan Day on November 1st, so instead of our usual end of the month, Bristol Vegans next meet is Monday November 1st at Plantation Restaurant in Bristol from 7pm - 11pm.

A 3 course gourmet Carribean style feast will set you back £15 but like they say on the advert, the company is priceless. Please email Protected email address if you would like to come so we have an idea of numbers. The Meet after - November 28th 2010 Venue is to be confirmed for this one but if you have any preferences or suggestions please feel free to email Jenny and Ian. Christmas Meet - December 16th Christmas is just around the corner, and it's been a couple of years since w did something together at Xmas, so let's make a feast this year!

Any suggestions do get in touch - maybe one of us might open our house to everyone for proper job Xmas do?

And do we prefer the 16th or the 23rd? the 16th might be a bit easier for everyone, but the 23rd would be super cool too, very festive.

BARC Free Vegan Food Fayre Bristol October 30th in case you'd missed it, and BARC are looking for both volunteers and also donations - email Protected email address.

Vegan Cheese Scones recipe from Emily - aged 6 years First you need 225g of self-raising wholemeal flour. Then add 50g of vegan margarine with 75g of grated strong cheddar Sheese. Rub this in until it looks like fine breadcrumbs and then add enough soya milk to make a solid dough (not too soft). Grease a baking sheet. Then roll out the dough to about 1cm deep and cut into rounds. Bake for about 30 mins at 180c or gas mark 6. Enjoy!

Free Vegan Food Fair - Saturday 30th October 2010 at Broadmead Baptist Church, Union Street, Bristol
